Varsity Esports

No. Varsity teams are only open to WMU students.

The Esports program has teams dedicated to each game in our portfolio. Some players could possibly cross over and play multiple games on different teams. Each team could also have players make up different teams for each game.

Yes. Students must maintain a 2.25 GPA.

Yes, you can watch our competitions in-person at the arena or online.

Varsity tryouts are held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Visit our tryout registration form to sign-up and view the schedule.

General Esports Information

The WMU Esports program has a variety of opportunities to get involved outside of competing. Event production is a huge component of the program and includes such things as:

  • Broadcasting
  • Replay Technician
  • Officiating
  • Commentary
  • Lighting
  • Facility Management

Open play is available every Friday at the WMU Esports Arena from 7 to 11 p.m. For other hours and and event information, follow us on social media.
