Civic Action Plan
We are working to revamp WMU's civic action plan for the future as we welcome our new Provost in January 2023, more information to come!
奥惭鲍鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;civic action plan was created in early 2017 by a group of more than 20 community members, students, faculty, and staff that aims to better foster civic engagement, social responsibility, and shared prosperity in the community.
The development and implementation of the plan directly supports strategy 3.3a in the University鈥檚 strategic plan, The Gold Standard 2020, as the plan is affiliated with , a national coalition of nearly 1,000 colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education.
The plan鈥檚 four major goal areas and 14 objectives further support other areas of The Gold Standard 2020. Over the past year, members of our network have been busy working to meet these objectives, and some of this work is profiled on this site.
