The Finicky Feeders clinic at the Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University Occupational Therapy Clinic serves children who have food selectivity. Services are provided by a licensed occupational therapist who uses evidence-based practices to help families add food to their child鈥檚 diet.  

Children served are those with: 

  • food aversions  

  • food refusal 

  • difficulty with texture transition 

  • self-limited diets 

  • oral incoordination  

  • disruptive mealtime behaviors 

Some children who attend the feeding clinic are typically developing while others have a variety of diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and neuromuscular disorders. 

Children learn mealtime behaviors that make family mealtime more successful. Parents are taught strategies to help their child develop healthy eating behavior for life. 

A physician referral is required to initiate treatment.
