Alison Sprague
Bio:

Alison Sprague is a Kalamazoo native as well as a long-time Bronco. She graduated from WMU with a BA in International & Comparative Politics and Spanish in 2013 and a Master of International Development Administration in 2015.

During her time as a WMU student, Alison participated in four international educational experiences: a semester program at Universidad de Burgos in Burgos, Spain; a summer program with ISA in Valparaiso, Chile; a semester internship with the Department of State at the U.S. Consulate in Willemstad, Curacao; and a faculty-led program in Bangalore, India. Alison also worked as a Peer Advisor and later as a Graduate Student in the WMU Study Abroad Office, where she decided to pursue a career in international education. 

After graduating from WMU, Alison started working as a Study Abroad Specialist at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She then worked on developing Faculty-Led and Custom Programs for CIEE and later served as the Program Manager for External Programs and Program Development at Boston University Study Abroad. Alison also earned a Master in Higher Education Administration from Boston University during this time. Prior to joining WMU Study Abroad, Alison worked at the Harvard Graduate School of Education as a Data Analyst. 

Alison is deeply committed to the value of international education and increasing access to these experiences. Outside of work, Alison still loves to travel and often plans trips around food. She also enjoys yoga, video games, dessert and craft beer.
