I came to WMU in the role of the Director of the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs. Prior to that I had been in faculty and administrative roles at Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, Oklahoma State University - Tulsa, Western Illinois University, the University of Tennessee – Martin, and MidAmerica Nazarene University. Our move to ¾ÅÒ»Â鶹ÖÆƬ³§ was an intentional end to the “nomadic’ lifestyle. My research has focused on adolescent health issues, especially alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention. My current research efforts are devoted to confirming the timeless principles of the teaching and learning process.
Fun fact:
My wife and I have a son, a daughter and a daughter in law. I play a variety of musical instruments and make my own guitars. I also ride my bicycles and motorcycle as much as possible – wind in my hair, bugs in my teeth! ;-)
