WMU ranks nationally for best online master's in education programs
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶estern 九一麻豆制片厂 University's College of Education and Human Development has again been recognized for offering one of the country's best online master's in education programs. In the U.S. News & World Report's rankings, the college and ranked No. 73 in the nation.
"This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, the quality of our curriculum and our commitment to providing exceptional online education opportunities," says Dr. Laura Dinehart, dean of the College of Education and Human Development. "We are honored to be acknowledged for our efforts in delivering excellence in graduate education."
Engagement was the U.S. News & World Report evaluated to determine program ranking. Western's online master's in education programs prioritize student engagement and success as well as foster a collaborative environment where aspiring teachers and administrators can easily interact with instructors and peers. Other indicators considered in the ranking include faculty credentials and training, peer assessment, services and technologies, and student excellence.
The College of Education and Human Development also received a top ranking on U.S. News & World Report's . The college was the and No. 23 in the nation. In addition to the quality of the programs, the ranking also considered how accessible institutions made financial benefits accessible to veterans.
"We remain dedicated to offering outstanding educational opportunities tailored to meet the unique needs of our veteran students and are grateful for this acknowledgement," says Dinehart.
WMU has consistently received recognition from the military community for its support of veteran students, including being named on Military Time's Best for Vets list of universities.
