Update: Precautionary boil water advisory lifted for Friedmann Hall
Update: At 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, the city of Kalamazoo lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for Friedmann Hall. The water may be used for consumption as well as other purposes. Bacteriological sampling within the affected area verified the water is safe to drink.
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擩ust before 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, the city of Kalamazoo issued a precautionary boil water advisory affecting Friedmann Hall on Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University's Main Campus. The action is related to a water infrastructure repair. No other buildings on campus were affected.
In lieu of boiling water for the recommended two minutes, bottled water should be used for consumption. Water bottles will be available in Friedmann Hall. It is still safe to use tap water for handwashing and bathroom needs during the precautionary advisory period.
The advisory is expected to be lifted within 72 hours, or by Thursday, May 5. Updates about the repair and any related issues will be posted on the WMU News website as they become available.
