Employers, students connect with in-person, virtual career fairs

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擵irtual and in-person career fairs for Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University students begin Wednesday, Feb. 2, as hundreds of employers vie for candidates to fill full- and part-time jobs as well as internships and co-op positions.

In-person events are free and open to the public, although they are tailored to college students and recent college graduates. Employers have posted jobs to the online career site ; only students with Handshake accounts can attend the virtual job fairs.

Student job fair preparation sessions, advising and resources to help students prepare for interviews and refine their resume are available to students through ; business majors can get specialized support through the .

Students who plan to attend virtual job fairs must register for employer sessions prior to the fair date, which is a new format for students to follow through Handshake. Registration opens for students at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24.

Wednesday, Feb. 2

  • Virtual Business Career Fair 2022 will include employers recruiting for various business-related positions from 1 to 4 p.m. Contact the Zhang Career Center for more information.

  • In-person Integrated Supply Management Career Night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fetzer Center is a networking opportunity for those who are pursuing internships and entry-level positions in supply chain management. It features employer presentations as well as opportunities to network with representatives from supply chain companies. Contact the Zhang Career Center for more information.

  • In-person Marketing, Sales and Food Marketing Career Night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fetzer Center features opportunities for attendees to network with employers interested in hiring marketing students and graduates. Contact the Zhang Career Center for more information.

Wednesday, Feb. 9

  • Annual Career Day is for student majors in business, health care, aviation, supply chain management, education, liberal arts and fine arts.   • Aviation Outlook Day will be an in-person event on Friday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aviation Education Center in Battle Creek.
