Dr. Diane Dirette joins Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Ph.D. program faculty
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擨n spring 2021, Dr. Diane Dirette will join the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (IHS) doctoral program faculty after 21 years of service in the Department of Occupational Therapy in Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University's College of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Dirette will join Dr. Kieran Fogarty and Dr. Rob Lyerla as core faculty members in the program, which is the second-largest Ph.D. program at WMU.
"I'm ecstatic to be joining the IHS program," says Dirette. "During my years at WMU, I have had the pleasure of serving on several IHS committees and watching the program develop from its first interdisciplinary cohort to being a national leader in interdisciplinary health sciences."
Dirette adds she is looking forward to "working with the high-quality faculty and students this program attracts."
"Dr. Dirette's national reputation as a scholar-practitioner will bring valuable clinical research skills and doctoral mentoring abilities to the program," says Fogarty, director of the Ph.D. program. "That will clearly impact the experience that our doctoral students receive in the program and impact future generations of doctoral-prepared interdisciplinary health science researchers."
