KALAMAZOO, Mich.--Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University students have the opportunity to involve themselves in more than 460 student clubs and activities that connect them with what they are learning in the classroom and beyond.

Registered Student Organizations at WMU focus on a variety of interest areas from academics to service to zombies. Students can travel the country to volunteer, program events for a campus, play a club sport, give back to the Kalamazoo Community, or go Greek.

There's something for everyone, says Cat March, graduate assistant for RSO development in the Office of Student Engagement. If students don't find what they're looking for, they can start their own group, March says.

This year and in the future, there are even more tools to help. New this year is online orientation for those considering starting their own RSO, including information on managing meetings, organizing events, looking for space and how to access Western Student Association funds.

Starting in the 2020-21 academic year, RSOs will be required to have an advisor to support students, help them navigate rules and develop their organization. An advisor could be a graduate student, staff member, or a relevant Kalamazoo community member approved by the Office of Student Engagement.
