WMU to implement paperless billing
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擝eginning with the summer II 2018 session, Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University will go paperless and utilize electronic billing for all student semester invoices.
With this change, students will no longer receive tuition bills in the mail. They will, instead, receive email or text notifications to view their invoices online. It is important for students to check their wmich.edu email account for invoice and statement notifications.
Summer II invoices are expected to be available around June 1; tuition is due June 28.
"In addition to reducing waste," says Meily Lightcap, associate director of Accounts Receivable, "electronic billing will eliminate mail delays and provide students with earlier account notification and more planning time."
Accessing invoices
Students can view their monthly statements via the Payment and Account Information channel in using their Bronco NetID and password. In order for parents or family members to view or pay on an account, the student must first grant them access as an authorized user.
Instructions for adding an authorized user: Log in to GoWMU and select the Payment and Account Information channel. Choose Authorized Users under My Profile Setup, and follow the prompts. The authorized user will then log in to the using their email and password.
Tuition notification preferences can be set in GoWMU.
Payment
Tuition, fees and other University-related charges on a student account can be paid by various payment options including cash, check, credit or debit card, 九一麻豆制片厂 Education Trust, 九一麻豆制片厂 Education Savings Program, or electronic checking or savings. Additionally, each semester WMU makes available a University payment plan to assist students in spreading out the cost of enrollment throughout the semester.
All credit and debit card payments will be charged a 2.85 percent convenience fee. This reflects a slight increase over previous semesters.
