Three marketing VP candidates to visit campus

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Three final candidates for the position of Western ¾ÅÒ»Â鶹ÖÆƬ³§ University's new vice president for marketing and strategic communication will visit the campus during the week of May 6-11.

Each candidate will spend two days on campus meeting with University leadership as well as touring the campus and community and meeting with a variety of community members, including campus marketing and communication professionals. Each candidate also will make a public presentation and address questions.

All three of the candidates' public presentations will be live streamed.

Finalists

  •  Renea Morris, chief marketing officer, University Communications and Marketing, Ohio University—Morris will visit Sunday and Monday, May 6 and 7. Her public presentation is set for 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, in 1920 Sangren Hall. .
  • Dr. Joseph A. Brennan, former vice president for communications and marketing, clinical professor of business and special assistant to the president, University at Albany-State University of New York—Brennan will visit Tuesday and Wednesday, May 8 and 9. His public presentation is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, in 1910 Sangren Hall. .
  • Michael "Tony" Proudfoot, interim senior vice president for marketing and communications, University of Arizona— Proudfoot will visit Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11. His public presentation is set for 1 p.m. Friday, May 11, in 1920 Sangren Hall. .

The successful candidate will fill a new vice-presidential position at WMU charged with leading the Office of University Relations and working collaboratively with all University entities to fully integrate and advance institutional marketing, branding and communication efforts, both internally and externally.
