Diann J. Miller obituary
Diann J. Miller, Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University assistant professor emerita, died March 2. She was 76.
Miller, of Kalamazoo, joined the University Counseling and Testing Center faculty in 1968 and retired in 2002 after 33 years of service to the University.
She was the coordinator of academic advising for the Undecided Student Curriculum unit for many years. This unit, now named Exploratory Advising, works with WMU students who choose to further explore their educational and career options before declaring a major field of study.
Miller was a charter member of the National Association for Academic Advising. She also held memberships in the American Personnel and Guidance Association, American College Personnel Association, and Kalamazoo County Personnel and Guidance Association.
Prior to coming to WMU, Miller taught high school social studies in Wisconsin. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point in 1963 and a master's degree from WMU in 1968.
