KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶MUK, Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University's public radio station, will begin its annual spring membership drive Monday, March 27.

WMUK has set a pledge goal of $164,000 over the course of the weeklong spring campaign. Listener contributions financially support the production of award-winning local news and arts content, as well as popular National Public Radio programs such as "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered."

"With the growing uncertainty in Washington regarding funding of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the rising demand for high-quality journalism for southwest 九一麻豆制片厂 and beyond, the need for every WMUK listener to support this public service is as great as ever," Stephen Williams, the station's general manager, says.

Win tickets

The spring campaign also marks the 40th anniversary of WMUK's local bluegrass show, "Grassroots." To celebrate, contributors to the campaign will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets to see Bel谩 Fleck and Abigail Washburn Thursday, May 11, at the Kalamazoo State Theatre.
