Plan now to take WMU-guided tour of Spain this summer
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擡ver have the urge to travel through Spain? Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University is offering an opportunity to do just that this summer.
Alumni and other friends of the University are invited to join Dr. Robert Felkel, WMU professor of Spanish, on a nine-day tour of the country July 20-29.
Participants will travel to the cities of Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Burgos and Santander as well as have the chance to meet with WMU students studying abroad in these cities. Reservations are due by April 1.
Due to a lack of preregistrations, this trip has been canceled.
Robert Felkel
Felkel's background makes him an excellent resource for WMU in Spain participants as they explore the mosaic of cultures, rich history and 21st-century vibrancy of the five cities being visited.
A professor of Spanish at WMU since 1971, he writes articles on contemporary Spanish culture and specializes in medieval and Spanish Golden Age literature, with a concentration on "Don Quixote."
In addition, Felkel has made numerous trips to Spain to conduct research, study and obtain materials for his classes. He also was the director of WMU's study abroad program in Burgos from 2001 to 2005.

The WMU in Spain trip is being offered through the University's Office of Development and Alumni Relations and Department of Spanish. Bookings are being managed through Academic Travel Abroad.
