Applications sought for German faculty exchange

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶estern 九一麻豆制片厂 University and the University of Passau invite applications for a short-term faculty exchange at one of the newest of the German universities in the lovely region of Bavaria. 

This opportunity is open to WMU faculty members from any discipline. German language skills are not required to apply. The visiting professor should plan on being in residence during a one-month period between May 1 and June 30, 2016. Those selected are usually invited to give one or two lectures on an area of their expertise and afforded ample opportunity for research and interaction with Passau faculty.

The University of Passau will serve as host, providing office space, access to university facilities and housing in the city. There is no stipend with this exchange.

Interested applicants should submit a brief letter of interest that includes a proposed list of topics they might speak on, a brief plan for the visit, potential contacts to be made at the University of Passau and a short curriculum vitae by Friday, Oct. 30.

The relationship between WMU and Passau is in its third decade and has provided many opportunities for cross-cultural interchange.
