WMU adds special day for transfer students to complete enrollment

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶estern 九一麻豆制片厂 University has added a special Transfer Decision Day Wednesday, Aug. 5, to allow students a final organized event to complete their enrollment and other campus business before the Sept. 8 start of the fall semester.

Students considering transferring to WMU from a community college or a four-year institution can get an instant admission decision, receive a credit evaluation and meet with an academic advisor all in one day. With those tasks completed, newly admitted students will be ready to register for fall classes.

Although students are encouraged to apply early in the year in which they plan to attend WMU, transfer decisions are sometimes made much later in the process, according to Dachea Hill, WMU director of admissions. "This added day will help streamline the process for those involved in last-minute situations," she says. "Our goal is simply to help them through the process and welcome them into the campus community in a way that prepares them for a successful start at WMU."
