WMU trustees to consider 2015-16 budget, tuition at next meeting
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擳uition rates for 2015-16 and an operating budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1 top the agenda for the June 3 meeting of the Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University Board of Trustees.
Trustees will meet in formal session at 11 a.m. in 157-159 Bernhard Center. Action items on the board's agenda include both on-campus and Extended University Programs tuition rates for the upcoming academic year as well as a general fund budget. Trustees also will consider an increase in the Student Assessment Fee that was approved by students in a March campuswide referendum. The intent of the $16 per semester increase is to provide additional support for student organizations and programs.
Also among the agenda's June 3 action items are consideration of of faculty promotions and tenure recommendations; a recommendation to approve a five-year capital outlay plan, which is a state requirement of each public university; and a recommendation to approve an agreement that would integrate the Department of Public Safety's new dispatch console system into the 九一麻豆制片厂 Public Safety System, allowing seamless communication with other public safety organizations.
During the meeting, trustees also will receive and be asked to approve reports covering personnel moves, receipt of gifts and grants, and changes to academic programs as well as recommendations on a lease extension and a liquor license and a report on operating cash investment performance.
