Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' coming to Miller for two nights

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擠isney's "Beauty and the Beast" is returning to Kalamazoo for two shows at Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University's Miller Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 21-22.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Based on the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated feature film and celebrating 20 years since its Broadway premiere in 1994, Disney鈥檚 "Beauty and the Beast" has become an international sensation that has been seen by over 35 million people worldwide in 22 countries, and has been translated into 9 different languages.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" features the Academy Award-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs composed by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton.

Disney鈥檚 "Beauty and the Beast" at Miller Auditorium is part of the PNC Broadway in West 九一麻豆制片厂 Series. Tickets are on sale now and range from $27.50 to $68. They can be purchased online at , by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 387-2312, or in person at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office.
