Scholarships awarded to three ISM students at 2013 conference
KALAMAZOO鈥擳hree Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University students were among a small group of students from the nation's top supply chain management programs to win scholarships at the 14th annual ISM Indirect/Services Conference in Phoenix.
Student honorees
- Hanna Downs of Novi, Mich.
- Laura Haines of Muskegon, Mich.
- Chad Niemchick of Hopkins, Mich.
Each winner received $1,000 plus sponsored registration and travel allowance to attend the conference, which was held Dec. 5-6, 2013.
"The ISM program鈥檚 participation in the conference further validates the strength of our program and its students,鈥 says Ken Jones, director of executive education for the ISM program. 鈥淲e are fortunate to have future supply chain management professionals like Hanna, Laura and Chad represent us at these events. They are an extremely accomplished group of individuals who will truly excel in their professional careers."
Integrated supply management program
Ranked No. 12 in undergraduate supply chain education, WMU's ISM program has been recognized nationally by several organizations and publications for its leadership in preparing students for careers in supply chain management. WMU's curriculum combines engineering, information technology, supply chain and business education to prepare graduates for challenging and high-paying careers.
ISM Services Group
The ISM Services Group, which presents the annual conference, champions best practices associated with supply management practitioners who source services such as temporary labor, consultants, building services, telecommunications and technology, or who work in one of the many services-related industries.
