Pamela J. McElroy obituary

Pamela J. (Douglas) McElroy, a former director of corporate foundation relations at Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University, died May 29 surrounded by her family. She was 59.

McElroy joined the WMU staff in 1988 and left the University in 1995 after nearly seven years of service to the University.

While a staff member, she also served as a part-time instructor for the Department of Finance and Commercial Law in the Haworth College of Business.

McElroy, of Annandale, N.J., and formerly of Kalamazoo, earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Ohio University in 1975, a master's degree in finance from WMU in 1988, and a master's degree in school counseling from the College of New Jersey in 2012.

Before coming to WMU, she was a middle school history teacher. After leaving the University, she worked as a supply chain manager for the Perrigo Co., then in 1998, joined Pfizer.

McElroy earned her counseling degree after retiring and most recently, worked as a school counselor for the North Hunterdon and Hunterdon Central high schools in New Jersey.

Services

A memorial service will be held in McElroy's honor at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, in St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 W. Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo, Mich. A burial service will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich.
