KALAMAZOO鈥擳he 33rd annual Bronco Bash at Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University is set for 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. This year's bash will be held at the pedestrian mall in front of Sangren Hall rather than at Fountain Plaza.

The early registration deadline for booth space is 5 p.m. Friday, July 26. Applications submitted after that date will be assessed a $25 late fee and processed pending available booth space.

A campus tradition

Each year, over 450 student organizations, university departments, and local businesses and organizations participate in Bronco Bash by providing information, involvement opportunities, and promotional items and coupons to a crowd of some 20,000 people. The event also features novelty attractions, food vendors and a variety of entertainment acts.

"Bronco Bash is a unique celebration that brings the WMU and Kalamazoo communities together for a common event," says Anthony Haduch, one of three student coordinators for the event. "We鈥檝e been working hard to ensure that the event is mutually beneficial to the organizations that participate in Bronco Bash, as well as the people who attend," he adds.

Students are encouraged to interact with the organizations and departments to discover opportunities available to them as a WMU student and as a member of the Kalamazoo community. "This welcome back event allows our current and new students to celebrate the beginning of another great year as a Bronco. Years of data and feedback tell us that students feel more a part of the community as a result of attending Bronco Bash and our vendors are highly satisfied in their interactions with our student body," says Sarah Hurd, assistant director of Student Activities and Leadership Programs.
