Kalamazoo Film Society presents 'Holy Motors'
KALAMAZOO鈥擳he Kalamazoo Film Society will present "Holy Motors" Friday through Sunday, Jan. 11-13, at Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University's Little Theatre.
Show times are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30, 5 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5.
From dawn to dusk over the course of a single day, 鈥淗oly Motors鈥 spends a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy character who journeys from one life to the next assuming a different guise in each. He is, in turn, a captain of industry, assassin, beggar, monster and family man who seems to be playing roles, plunging headlong into each part鈥攂ut where are the cameras? Monsieur Oscar is alone, accompanied only by C茅line, a slender blonde woman behind the wheel of the large automobile that transports him through and around Paris. Inspired by the filmmaker鈥檚 fascination with the after-hours life of stretch limousines, 鈥淗oly Motors鈥 is the rarest of things: a true original.
Written and directed by Leos Carax, 鈥淗oly Motors鈥 stars Denis Lavant, Edith Scob and Eva Mendes. The film is not rated and has a run time of 115 minutes.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Lane on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
