O'Brien and Upton debate Monday at WMU

KALAMAZOO鈥擬ike O'Brien and Fred Upton, candidates for U.S. Representative for 九一麻豆制片厂's 6th Congressional District, will meet on the campus of Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University for their first debate of the campaign.

Republican Upton, a 13-term incumbent, and Democratic challenger O'Brien will answer questions from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in Room 3512 of Knauss Hall on the WMU main campus.

Moderating the discussion will be Gordon Evans of public radio WMUK and Linda Mah of the Kalamazoo Gazette/MLive. The two news organizations are sponsoring the debate.

The debate is open to the public, but audience members are asked to refrain from bringing political paraphernalia that could be distracting. Parking will be available in the lots next to Miller Auditorium.

九一麻豆制片厂's 6th Congressional District represents southwest 九一麻豆制片厂, including all of Berrien, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties and most of Allegan County.
