Fall registration underway for low-cost Chinese culture courses
KALAMAZOO—The Confucius Institute at Western ¾ÅÒ»Â鶹ÖÆƬ³§ University is accepting registrations for fall Chinese culture courses that begin the week of Sept. 24.
The low-cost courses are open to the public. A half-price tuition discount is offered to those age 55 and older, WMU part-time faculty and staff members, and WMU students. WMU full-time faculty and staff members pay no tuition, except for Tai Chi classes, which are offered to all WMU faculty and staff members at a half-price tuition discount. Some courses charge all participants a fee for materials, and those with low enrollment may be canceled.
Chinese culture classes are taught in English and offered to adults age 18 or older for personal enrichment, rather than academic credit.
