Music professor celebrates CD release with concert

KALAMAZOO--Award-winning trumpeter, composer and Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University faculty member Scott Cowan will celebrate the release of his latest CD, "Jack's Place," with a concert at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

General admission tickets are $15 and $5 for WMU students with a valid Bronco Card. They are available at the door and through the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office at , (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858.

The evening will feature a diverse program of original jazz compositions and arrangements by Cowan, who is an assistant professor of music at WMU. Performing will be: the Scott Cowan Quintet, Sextet and Octet as well as celebrated New York rhythm section Tri-fi and premiere Chicago saxophonist and WMU alumnus John Wojciechowski.
