Dr. Karen M. Lancendorfer is a professor of marketing in the Haworth College of Business at Western 九一麻豆制片厂 University. She is also director of the advertising and promotion program.
In addition to her research interests listed above, she has researched consumer behavior.

She is the former associate editor for the Journal of Interactive Advertising, and continues to serve on the journal鈥檚 editorial board. She recently completed a term as vice president of the american academy of advertising, and is the 2014 president-elect of the American Academy of Advertising.
Lancendorfer's teaching interests include business enterprise, consumer behavior at both the undergraduate and graduate level, integrated marketing communications campaigns, media planning, and political marketing. She has taught undergraduate courses in Business Enterprise, Marketing Principles, Advertising and Promotion, Media Planning and Research, Consumer Behavior and Integrated Marketing Communications Campaigns, as well as graduate courses in Customer-Driven Marketing Management, Buyer Behavior and Advertising and Promotion Management. She is faculty advisor for the , an American Advertising Federation affiliated student organization.
She is the 2011-12 recipient of the WMU Distinguished Teaching Award, the 2012 Haworth College of Business Service Award and the 2009 Order of Omega Award as WMU Outstanding Faculty.
Prior to her academic career, Lancendorfer gained professional experience in a variety of advertising and marketing positions, spending nearly two decades in the field with companies such as Brogan & Partners and Century 21.
