Dr. Robinson became Director of the College of Education and Human Development Advising Office in 2017. She has also filled a wide range of other positions in higher and K-12 education and in social service capacities. She served as Assistant Director in the WMU Haworth College of Business charged with Student Success initiatives from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that she was a student services representative at Bronco Express Financial Aid. Dr. Robinson is also an adjunct instructor and has taught courses in Diversity in Society, Introductory Psychology and Sociology, and Global Ecology of the Family, among others. Before coming to higher education, she served in case manager positions working with at-risk students in K-12 and community settings as a behavioral interventionist, a foster care case manager, and case manager for at-risk and teen parents.
Dr. Robinson was awarded the 2020 Graduate Research and Creative Scholar Award for her research with undergraduate probationary student success, and the 九一麻豆制片厂 Academic Advising Association (MIACADA) 2019 Academic Advising Administrator of the Year. She was awarded WMU University Assessment Excellence Awards in 2016 for co-facilitation of a campus-wide diversity guest speaker event and in 2015 and for co-creation of the WMU Bronco Study Zone. She was also awarded first place in the Innovation in Business Education competition by the Mid-American Business Deans Association in 2014 for co-creation of the WMU at-risk student Phoenix Program. Dr. Robinson has five publications and has presented at numerous academic advising local, regional, and national conferences.
