Dr. Samuel T. Beasley received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed his doctoral internship at Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) at The Ohio State University. He holds a master鈥檚 degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University in Bloomington. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Kentucky. During his prior training, Beasley provided clinical services in both higher education and community counseling settings.
Dr. Beasley鈥檚 primary line of research focuses on predictors of academic outcomes among Black college students. In particular, he explores predictors of academic self-concept and academic achievement in this population. Another line of his research examines the professional psychology pipeline for men of color, with an emphasis on African American men.
